The sun is shining bright and the birds are awakening me every morning. This must be a sign to get my body up and moving!
Summer day are a great time for new experiences and creative ideas to mix things up and we've been loving finding new, creative ways to get our blood pumping and bodies moving outside (pickle ball!). We also enjoy finding fun new way to rehydrate and stay cramp free afterwards.
We have all heard that ACV is good for our gut health. But what else can it do?
Our friend and neighbor Dave can tell you. For him waking up in the middle of the night with leg cramps is all too familiar.
“I limp to the kitchen and lean on the counter while I drink a glass of Shrub. A couple minutes later the cramping stops.”
This could be happening for a number of reasons, including dehydration, but according to Dr. Eric Berg the boost of apple cider vinegar could be contributing to the relief Dave is getting from a quick drink of Shrub.
Apple cider vinegar helps to facilitate the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for nerve impulses that facilitate muscle contraction. ACV can also lower your ph and acidify the body. A symptom of being too alkaline is cramping, so lowering your ph with ACV can help. Check out Dr. Bergs expert explenation for more information.
Prevention is the best medicine so remember to stay hydrated and drink your Shrub daily! Try these refreshing, hydrating ( Shrub Sparkler, Pineapple Electrolyte Sports Drink) and tasty recipes (Shrub salad dressing).
