It’s so important to have moments throughout the day to take care of yourself. That can be cooking a simple, nourishing meal, going for a quick walk around the block, or even taking three minutes to do some calming breath exercises.
If you have a little more time, this DIY Apple Cider Vinegar Bath really hits the spot. Using ACV in your bath is a lovely way to gently detox, as well as soothe your mind and spirit. And of course, when you use Apple State Vinegar, you know you’re getting the best that vinegar can offer (Raw! Organic! With the Mother! Washington-grown! Small business! Yay!).
Adding apple cider vinegar to your bath can soothe and soften skin. It also can help restore the natural acidity of your skin, which acts as a protective barrier. In addition to these physical benefits, a bath can be a great way to reduce stress, unwind, and enjoy some TLC. The practice of bathing in hot water to release toxins is actually tens of thousands of years old. Nomadic groups from the Neolithic Age would actually soak in hot springs to relieve extreme cold.
We’ve adapted this formula from Urban Moonshine, but feel free to add your favorite bath herbs, salts, oils, or rubber ducks ;).
