Apple State Asparagus
Apple State Vinegar
Green, crunchy, and as fresh as can be - this pickled asparagus is a dream come true.
1/2 cup Apple State Vinegar
2 cups water
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp dry dill
2 cloves garlic, smashed
2 dried chilies
2 slices of lemon
1 lb asparagus
Cut asparagus to be the size of your jar.
Boil water and dip asparagus in the water for 15 seconds. Then, put it in an ice water bath.
Add all remaining ingredients to a quart-size Mason jar and shake well.
Fill the jar with as much asparagus as you can stuff in! Tip: alternate directions so you can fit more.
Let sit in the fridge for 24 hours.
